I needed some new tires as my old ones were shot. After reviewing a gazillion tires and finding nothing conclusive on anything (one person says tire-x is great and the very next post says tire-x sucks for every tire I looked at).
I took a chance and went with the Falken ZE 512 ZIEX, same one Brent got I believe. So far on one day's use I am happy with them. They are a high performance all season (H rated) so I'm sure they are not the absolute best but then again I'm not pushing my car to the limit and tend to keep the car out late. I think they look good (almost have a streched tire look) and seem much stiffer than the Coopers I had on previously.
Also the "turn the wheel left and feel the sudden jerk" issue I had seems to have disappeared. I'll let you know how I like them as time goes on.

I looked at edgeracing as well. Shipping was cheaper I believe but they do not offer the road hazard warranty.
