New VW Touran

I just don't get VWOA. The new Touran looks like it would be a hit in the US.

VW claims they will not import it to the US because this segment does not exist here. Why not be first for once? Didn't they invent the sport hatchback segment in the US?

thats a vehicle I'd buy with DSG :)

honeslty though thats likely the van I'd buy if I were in the market. just be sure its got a 5k lbs towing capacity and I could totally sell the Jeep too!

I think that VWOA thinks that the van is too small (and maybe it costs too much to bring here and sell at a profit).... though a number of smaller minivans are starting to hit the market here (Mazda has one that comes tio mind), but I think that these days with gas prices what they are, a roomy, but not large minivan that is efficient/gets good gas mileage would go over pretty well here.
