View Full Version : where do you get your 40 weight oil?

been looking at various auto parts stores around Syracuse and cant find anyone that stocks 0w40 or 5w40 oils. Have I over looekd anyone?

Autozone always has plenty, but they probably hide it when you walk in :p

Walmart also carries it . . . .

i usually get my mobil 1 0w-40 at advance autoparts. same price as every where else ($5.44, IIRC), always have it when i need it.

maybe its just the super ghetto Erie Blvd stores...neither place had it and when I asked the guy kept asking 5w30?

I dislike shopping at Wal*Mart..but I guess if I must I could check there.

Autozone on taft has some, its only a few minutes down the road from our apartment.

i got the 0W30 (edited from 0W40) german castrol that Dave recomended from there. I should also mention that John at the shop distributes Amsoil and can have it in a days notice, I think he quoted me $6.25 for Amsoil 5W40.

is the 0w30 502 cert? thought it was only the 0w40.

thanks to Pete's suggestion I've got 15 bottles of castrol's euro formulated 5w40 :)
