ok say I had a R eng /harness/ecu and drivetrain and a possible free mk1 rocco...what would it take to put it in......
????mounts...do I have to change axles so not to have to do suspension swap and tons of welding....??
next....what about syncro in a mk1 rocco....has anybody done this that I could get info from.
also if the halidex uses the same tranny and transfercase can you switch to syncro axles... so you dont have to swap suspension over...
does the mk1 rocco have as much room in the drive train area as the corrado..
would a mk2 coupe/rado be easier.....or the same....?????
this is just an idea right now looking for input......
even other idea's on what car this would go in the quickest.....it would stay stock once installed....

A tube frame would be the best but you are basically making an entire chassis out of tubing. You could do it in a MK1 chassi without a tube frame and tie everything together with a cage. It would be all custom though, nothing is going to bolt in. A A2/A3 chassis would be much easier because you can do hybrid haldex/synchro stuff. and have it bolt in. The front end would be all bolt in.

I say you keep the 3.2l motor and give me the drivetrain for my 20v!

I say you must be nuts!!!!
your car would be sick....also i dont think you can use the vr syncro with the 4cyl without modification...you would need an ultrarare g60 syncro right...or is it the same...
highlighted cuz it sounds cool........

um, no it's not white, i'll try and find a couple pics of it. bodywise it's in good shape, but it needs an engine, probably a bunch of other stuff too.. . Cheap, did I mention cheap?
-Todd
edit: found some pics (not directly of it, but you'll get an idea of the color I guess)
it's in the upper right of this pic

very well might be for sale in the near future, ecspecially if i find the right bike:)
she runs, very sluggish, haven't even bothered to look into that, and has a nasty leak from the exhaust manifold gasket so she has a nice "chug" sound

ok well people keep your eyes open for a 92-95 corrado...no engine or tranny required...the roof can be damaged too...looking for cheap!!!! decent shape!!!!
color wont matter at all...less rust the better...unless on roof or upper corners of front window.... must have front interior...back won't matter.
oh no 92 g60's just vr6 bodies please......if ya see something lemme know asap..

Convertable / roadster project in the future?
USOPHUNKE
07-29-2006, 11:01 AM
yes..... I am thinking convertable with a shorty front window and a fat rear flat bar sim to the olds or the merc conv. my idea is to weld the doors trunk, shave the handles and everything else.... get a spare vr hood for the back to keep the lines and weld it to the body. and make a behing the front seats access to the rear for power and lights and any other issues that may pop up.
this is obviously going to be a long term project
