Hey, I'm Eric and used to hang with the Ithaca crew until I graduated from Cornell in May 2006. I've had my 2001 Jetta Wolfsburg 1.8T for 2 years this July. I've always had big plans for this car, but lack of funds held me back while I was in school; now I'm about to start with Lehman Brothers in NYC and I'll be living in Manhattan. I intend to keep the car for about another year, but I'm not sure what I'll be doing after that.

I've made what I consider my fair share of modifications to the car. The majority of my mods are to the stereo system and the lighting of the car. After a minor accident in February 2005, I took the opportunity to make the front end look a little more aggressive.

I'll list my modifications and post any additional progress I make on the car in this thread. I've also created a website for the car with a bunch of information: http://www.wolfy18t.epwilson.com

During a recent thorough exterior cleaning, I installed a set of Bosch Icon Wipers. These wipers are a lot more aerodynamic than the stock wipers and look very similar to the OEM Aero Wipers (at about half the price).

I've only had some limited experience with these in actual rain (and it has certainly helped that I recently Rain-X'ed all my glass), but they do seem to perform much better than the stock wipers. They also look better than stock.
