Its getting to the point we'll be mounting and wiring the Tec3r soon. Engine should be in this week unless we cant find 2 bolts of the right length...

Vin was thinking of putting the Tec3 where the OE Mk2 ECU was on the driverside of the rain tray, I was thinking behind the glove box.

Rain tray would certainly make wiring easier as your not either cutting a hole in the fire wall on the passengerside to route the wiring through or snaking it over to the driverside and wasting all that wire to get it out into the engine bay. But inside would certainly protect it more from the elements, though I'm not sure how wet it gets up in the rain tray.

Thoughts? Anyone found info on where others have mounted SEM units? searching vortex hasnt found much.

Its called a rain tray for a reason. Rain goes in there, I wouldn't put it there. Another place you can put is under the center console, this would make the com cable easy to hook up and it would be easy to get at.

I would have to agree w/Ryan, suck it up and put it inside you'll have less problems later on that way.
