Thought I'd share, since these gorgeous cars are few and far between. Have any good shots Rich?

I'm so jealous you got to touch that car....
If I've gathered my info correct, this is RichB's friend Gerry's car.

Yes.. Gerry is local. The car has 277k on it. Running a 108 or so hp 912 engine vs the old 60hp one.

the paint was not my doing. All I did was do the interior and wash it, and dress the tires. The paint was freshly buffed, with not one line or anything from being touched. I was ver yhesitant to touch the outside of it and screw that up. Naturally, the rinse water spotted as it dried, and i was pulling my hair out trying to make the car look perfect.

I'll have some pics which I will post when I get a chance... but I just got off the phone with Gerry and had to post this news....
Gerry attended a small Porsche show (around 40 cars... its a annual regional event at/near Belhurst Castle) in Geneva yesterday (Sunday) with the 356. The car came in second in its class (beating out a car Gerry lost to last year, but losing to a Cabriolet). Despite the second place finish in his class, the car won Best of Show! Needless to say, Gerry is very happy and pleasantly surprised (he is not big into the competitive show car thing... you can see from the couple of 100K miles he has put on the car he enjoys driving it more than anything else). Congrats needs to go out to Vinny who's hard work helped in making it possible! :)
This is quite an accomplishment because there are a number of other excellently restored/maintained (concours winning) vintage Porsche's in upstate NY.

I was surprised when Gerry called to tell me. It made my day. Its always great when something you take pride in doing makes someone else happy.
