I wanted to cleam my MAF, beacause im using a K&N filter and i want to clean any possiable oil off of it. Im having problems taking it off. It has the security star screw and i brought the bit home from work to remove the MAF, but none of them seem to fit. Are these too metric??
Also i want to learn more about VAG any good info on this subject??

nope those are the only standard sized screws on the whole car ;)
ya they're metric...though just because your using a K&N doesnt mean you need to clean it...well unless you over oiled it.

how much did you put on the filter when you cleaned it? does the MAF element appear glossy like its coverd in oil? are you experiencing any running issues?

I wouldn't worry about cleaning the MAF unless you run into CEL, limp mode, or other issues.
The bit you need is a tamper proof torx and supposedly you can get them at an auto parts store. You can also use a vice-grips or similar tool and unscrew those screws at the lip on the head.

it is a safe for electronics oil residue remover that uses sound waves to disturb the molecules to break down and clean better. alot of people bring there mafs into my shop here at work and clean them....I dont really know if its better than just spraying it out...but people seem to like to use it...
