Appears that it wasnt just a suspension difference between a Golf and a Golf Country. In the picts below you can see the whole secondary frame thats installed under the Golf's unibody. Also a group of Golf Countrys before the frame is installed and after.

I asked eCodeParts how much a Golf Country would be....now if I could only find the estimated 6500 they'd want for one!!!

one of the best sites for Golf Country info http://www.vw-golf-country.de/ (its all in german)

They were made from 90-92, only about 7-8k where made. There were a few versions, Normal/Allaround/Chrome. The Normal/AllAround had a 80 hp diesel engine, the Chrome had a 129 PS 16v block.
