Your First VW -- Post some pictures

Some of you might know that my first dub was an '88 Jetta GLi 16v, I found some picts of it on my PC and thought it'd be cool to see everyones first dub.

My first car was a '66 Bus when I was 15. It was too much of a basketcase for me at the time.. The next one was a '71 Fastback which I repaired and daily drove for about a year when I was 16. This thing had the worst electrical system ever. No pics though, its kinda sad.

I still have my first dub, it is my cabby.
For some reason my family didn't like german cars (probably a Jewish thing).

dad bought it for me in high school :) It was kind of 'our' project car but at that time I didnt know anything mechanical and he didnt have time so we had some one do all the work to fix it up, but we did make all the decisions (paint, lights, sidebars, drop the front end, smaller tires up front). I did do some minor stuff like stereo, alarm, tach and general maintenance.

Damn I miss that car :(

Not the greatest pic, but it is 21 years old. My first dub... A silver 1985 VW GTI, bought new (my first brand new car, first car that was mine, first car with a stick.. etc). Basic story behind this car is that I landed a good job at GE Aerospace in my Senior year of college (March) and had the car on order a few weeks later. :) I really busted my ass in college (5 years, two undergrad degrees with honors & really good GPAs - lots of Friday nights and weekends spent in my room studying) and this was my reward to myself.

it's the first car i owned, and i've had it for about 6 years. since then i've had over 30 vw's including the one's i own now. i admit i have a problem and i have the corrado to thank for that.

'86 Golf. It was my first car ever! I learned how to drive stick on that baby! Then I went to an '88 GLI. It was a POS, but I loved it when it ran...No pics............
