Ok, I'm trying to tear down my holset hx35 so i can sand blast the housings but the exhaust housing WILL NOT break free. i tried tapping it with a hammer around the housing to break it free but nadda. So tonight im gunna try a rubber mallet and whack it a little harder(lol) i dont know what im doing wrong...the 4 bolts come out of the center section then the housing should spin?

In my business it's 'apply vigorous mechanical aggitation.'

PB blaster.

or take it over to D&W and have them rebuild it properly. also get a 9cm^2 housing while your there.

Not having it rebuilt...as it already is. Just sand blasting the housings.

Got the cold side off. Massive C-clip!

rebuilt and then used again is not rebuilt. and that is clearly used.

and anything jake thinks is a good idea is usually not, but hey, it had a good 3 month run. i expect the same from you if you ever finish.

you wll probably have to heat it up with a torch and then tap it with a steel hammer. The shock is what breaks them free. Rubber mallets dont work so well but who knows, worth a shot.

Wow jay thanks for the positve advice. Maybe from now on you keep your comments to your self? I get it...you hate the idea of this turbo on an aba. But I could really give a rats ass. I'm not building this for you.
