In the old days of actual film it was a double exposure. These days, probably P-chop.

Real long exposure with a tripod. start with the hood open/closed and in the middle switch to the opposite. Takes some practice to do the timing, but the effect is eally cool.

Yea. I did one of these with Jakes old Mk2.

Camera on tripod. Take pic of open hood. Take pic of closed hood. Obviously, don't move the car or camera.

You need to create it in like Photoshop as you have to work with layers.
