Im looking at an AUDI!

I might be picking up a C4/urS4 for cheap! A friend just got orders to Ft hood (TX) and knows he will be deploing right after he gets there, so he is selling his car, CHEAP! He paid $3500-ish for it, not 100% on the year, 6 months ago, went to a school for 5 months a month after he bought it. I think it has 160-180k-ish, green (is it worth less?!) tan leather, manual, B5 replica wheels, tires are good, new slotted rotors/pads, a bunch of little maintance under the hood, looks to be "loaded"! Im woundering what I should look for, turbo, boost hose issues, trans, common rust areas and so on when I look at it later today? If I dont buy it, it will be HERE for sale in a day or two, for CHEAP!

Nice motors (I5 2.2l 20v turbo), same motor used (though modified) in the Dahlback "Golf" kit car monster, the European S2/RS2, etc.

I was looking through audiworld to see if I could find common issues. He has put $2000 or so in to little things, Im still waiting to see it up close! Who has "cool guy" stuff for this car? Wouldnt want much, badgless grill, exhuast?

This one is here at Drum and it is SOLD! $1500! :smile: I didnt take any pics (we were BS-ing, ate some grub and it got dark!) Its got some rust, antenna, lower rear wheel wells spot on the pass front door . . . But for $1500! I'll get pics soon!

Im stoked! I found the grill at LLTEK and TAP has a few things too! Wife says if I sell the jetta (and ALL the parts with it :frown:) I can go crazy with this car . . . Im keeping the jetta! However, I was looking at some turbo upgrades on 034 :wink:

LLtek and o34 are the sh!t!!
honestly i would sell the jetta and go crazy with the audi, like your wife said. but its your car and i dont have any input.

that k24 turbo has a lot of potential and o34 is a great place to tune it.

just a chip and waste gate spring will do sooo much for that car, especially for that motor.

its not too much for the spring, but the chip is a major improvement :icon_tup:

I found a chip/spring FS, $200! INA on vortex?
I NEED to get the jetta going again (before I go crazy!) or the wife is gonna force the sale!

I need to deal with some rust on the S4 too. I cant wait till we get some good snow in a vacant lot! HAHA

Went and put $40 in the tank . . . 1/2 full! Tried to fill the washer fluid too, 6.4l tank!

After driving it around a little bit, needs a few things . . .
Antenna
Speakers
Lock cylinders
Brakes are acting "odd" Im going to try and bleed them . . .

Other then that (and turbo upgrade, suspension, exhuast!) its good! I will get some better pics in the AM!
