Just got a MK2!

Hey guys! Sort of new here...

I just bought a MK2! It's a 1992 Jetta GLi 16V.....in black magic. It was an originally a Virginia car with NO rust! It has a TT/Borla exhaust, K&N intake and Bilstien coils.....good start! My plans for it are undecided....it was possibly the impulse buy of the century, but I'm bored and I couldn't resist (LOOK at that face! I love it!)

black magic? was it repainted the R32 black magic perl or is it just the OE black(L041)?

It' just the OE black....I was told it was "Black magic"....... :rolleyes: *me trying to sound smart* The paint is a little rough, but wow! this car is in good shape!

Congrats! Clean MK2s are getting harder to find I imagine... you must be psyched!

single stage paints on the Mk2s usually clean up real nice with some elbow work.

They are old Centras! They have this locking center cap thing......It looks like it will need a key to get them off. Any idea where, or how to get these things off??

NICE FIND! I'm not a MKII guy, but are the center caps put on with nuts that have an allen key hole? I would try that...my .02 (MKIV guy!:confused:)
