Whats the best way to remove the factory pinched hose clamps? I've removed them before off things but I had room to wiggle around a pair of pliers/snips.

I have to replace the large hose from the TB to the carbon canister on the Corrado and I'm not sure I got the same space behind the TB. Also, I dont want to break the nipple off the TB.

Also, the guy at the auto store gave me some thick fuel line hose instead of vaccum (they didn't have vaccum hose that size). It was free so I took it. Will I have any problems with it? Should it be temporary only?

craftsman sells the "correct" pliers if you feel like owning the correct tool. here (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00947390000P?vName=Tools&cName=Mechanics+Tools&sName=Automotive+Specialty+Tools)

I was talking about the clamps that are pinched, like those you'd find on the fuel system. I've found no easy way to get them off. As for the pliers you suggested, I never even knew these existed but it is a funny looking tool.

Those ones are one time use. I don't think there is anyway to remove them without destroying the clamp.

if these are the clamps like the ones used on the axles (just a metal band that's crimped) that's correct, so just cut them off. If they are small, I'd replace them with fuel line type clamps.

I need one of those tools stu posted! I hate getting channel locks on those dam clamps!

ahh, yeah as mentioned just cut those damn things off. There is a correct tool to use on those if you want to replace them with the same type of one time use clamp.....but thats a real pain IMO.
