yes the cam is in and its awesome, but now im having heat-soak issues. its this thing with auto mk1's that they pretty much dont start because the heat makes the starter weak. mine ever since the cam (maybe because its bigger) will just make the high pitched noise, but the starter wont turn on the first try. then usually the second try it turns over....it took 3 tries today.

oh yeah, i need to talk to my buddy about his impreza bumper he wanted you to paint...

sounds like the starter is beginning to go bad... Michelle's auto Mk2 did that and so did what is now Pete's rabbit. Let someone have mercy on the poor soul that changes that starter... not fun.

In my opinon it's easier to pull the automatic out and swap in a manual trans than replace those @#$%^! automatic starters. Maybe I'm just an automatic hater...

lol funny thing is the starter was new last summer. can have more than 3000 miles on it. it just doesnt have the power to crank it over when it gets hot.

so can anyone help me out with a relay install?

fear not. a manuel swap will happen in time.
