I'll be spray bombing the Tdi once I grind some of the rust off, looking for input on color choices. Looking for something dark and flat/satin. I just want the car all one color and to look good from 20 feet away for now, in the next year the car will likely be used as a donor. I'm leaning towards a dark satin green. Like forest green maybe.
A pic of the car in question:

Throw out some ideas, and I will convert this to a poll :icon_tup:

The krylon ultra flat paints spray pretty easily, thats what I used on my truck. I think a dark flat green would look good on that car since the jams and stuff would be pretty close already.

A. Isn't that a 100 series benz??
B. I am a fan of flat black but then again all my cars end up that color
C. I am liking the looks of a "navy-ish" flat/suede color....

My vote is for a really dark green (similar to the current color of the car but flat/satin)... olive/army type greens have been plenty done so far. A color that looks black at night, but dark green in bright lite would be cool.

Creme Puff FTW!
The ride is a reflection of the male anatomy...so how are you going to make it look like a naked pucker hole.....

Leave it as it, just rub it against the red chevelle behind it for the flame look?
Now that's cheap and low ballin', right?

I agree that the olive / drab green is played. Go darker or brighter... I'd stay green for the reasons Ryan mentioned.

Also, check the hood on this whip... did he leave some gloss? If you have some areas on the hood, roof, and trunk, why not leave a stripe or two of gloss? It might make it hard to get a "matching" flat green though.

now that would be different...half of our house resembles some sort of baby ***t some color or other...
No brown not a good choice IMO. More like Cream color...old style VW color from the 70's see below.
Don't forget there was a bunch of these MKIII's at Auburn PnP...if you need body parts...
Some inspiration...never mind how low these are or what Mike tells ya'. I really dig the draged out of the junk pile look...seriously

The batmobile looks to me like a Jetta with different tails grafted on it.
The red car in the background of the TDI photo is an Olds - it's parked there every day, right around the corner from where I work.
