wheel question?

i have a set of 190E mercedes wheels that i want to put on my jetta, (which ive had for a long time now!!) but i dont know the offset and i have to get adapters.. i talked to brent who told me that he thinks the offset might be in the 35-40's what does that mean?

the adapters are not a big deal, but what im worried about is the front tires sticking out further than the rear, like they're doing now... its only a few mm's but its there and i HATE IT!! and i dont want to use spacers because i heard it was a bad idea to use adapters and spacers??

they're 15x8 and 5x112

plus i was thinking about a set of 195/45/15's?? any suggestions on tires??

i think 25mm adaptors will be good


the ET is on the inside of the wheel.... i think they are 48.

i just checked and realized that two of the wheels are wider than the other two:err:

plus i cant find the ET all i can find is random numbers:mad:

if you look at the link boostin gave you, it shows you how to measure offset yourself. just find the centerline of the wheel, and measure how far the part of the wheel that bolts to the hub is from the centerline.

i can figure that out, but im just too lazy... i think thats just what im going to have to do...:mad:

plus those numbers are a 3 digit number, and on two of them it sais ET 215?????
