Just wanted to let everyone know that I have recently become the owner of an APR flashing module and can update files or offer trial flashes for anyone who doesn't want to make the drive to salisbury. I do not collect any money nor do I make anything off of flashing since I am not a dealer. Jeff / 1highGTI was just trial flashed a few days ago with the 2.0t program on his passat and seems to enjoy it.

They do not have a publicly available file for the VR6.

can you do 1.8T GTI? I'm not sure what I'm running the dealer I got it from was never told by the previous owner.

1.8t GTIs are not an issue.

If you have an APR chip, the ecu scan will reveal if the previous owner bought APR.

BTW, I'll be leaving this region to move back to CA by about early July so any flashing would have to be done prior to that.

Yep, although I was up in syracuse just yesterday. Went to Red Robin . . . wasn't horribly impressed with the burgers but the onion rings and fried zucchini were quite good.

If people would like to get flashed, they could simply just join the ithaca crowd for beers on a thurs night or make appointments with me. I basically would just need a strong internet connection to do flashing and so far i've been doing it in my driveway.

All programs are stored and accessed through the APR server so yes, I can flash any file that they make. However, I don't know what the pricing is for the APR K04 file for the MKIV so any payments would have to be handled through APR directly. I would be able to put the trial on your car though.

FYI, the trial is the full version of the software that expires after 6 hours of driving time. Jeff mentioned that he got about 4 days worth of driving before he lost his flash. If you want to purchase the full chip, you would not need to see me again unless you wanted to change options on the chip (# of programs, security lockout code or TBA/FCE options).

In your case, since you are already an APR owner, i can reflash you with SII or whatever file you had if you don't like the k04 file.
