Thats a tough call...

On a non black car - like the red one above - the dark horizontal line of the rub-strip help make the car look/appear lower and longer.. I do think of it as a design element, but on a black car the effect is really lost. I do kind of like the rub-strips (maybe I'm just so used to seeing them), on a black car like you coupe it will be tough call... if there were no after effects (lines) I would probably tend toward the thin.

if you are putting the textured flares on and have the textured bumpers, keep the moldings. wide or thin, don't think it matters, but "moo" I'll go with the herd. thin.

They are probably considered "classic" wheels cause they've been around for a while now. I remember Borbet did a limited run type A's a few years back to feed the demand. There are widelip and non-wide lippbed. Im in for the wide ones imho...
