i have g60 fender flairs im putting on
my options are
wide mouldings that were on it mint condition
thin mouldings with red badge new but can see lines from wide moulding lower
shave mouldings completly... and paint
I am planning to paint car hopefully before summer is up.... so if im going to shave them the time is now... opinions welcome

Thats a tough call...
On a non black car - like the red one above - the dark horizontal line of the rub-strip help make the car look/appear lower and longer.. I do think of it as a design element, but on a black car the effect is really lost. I do kind of like the rub-strips (maybe I'm just so used to seeing them), on a black car like you coupe it will be tough call... if there were no after effects (lines) I would probably tend toward the thin.

id say if your painting anyways go shaved... thin is my second choice... i always liked the mk2 with big flairs and shaved side mouldings... thins do look good too though

if you are putting the textured flares on and have the textured bumpers, keep the moldings. wide or thin, don't think it matters, but "moo" I'll go with the herd. thin.

They are probably considered "classic" wheels cause they've been around for a while now. I remember Borbet did a limited run type A's a few years back to feed the demand. There are widelip and non-wide lippbed. Im in for the wide ones imho...

I have decided to go thin, I also decided to paint the car black satin.
mike that looks great.. i cant wait till mine is done...
