1.8T ETKA help

Need to know what the coolant flange is on the back of the head. 2000 Passat with AEB/ATW motor. Is it just the housing for the coolant temp sensor?


Also if any one has diagrams of the vacumn/emisions/pcv/evap etc... stuff which goes around the motor (from airbox/turbo area around back of block to under manifold) that would be a big help in figuring it all out.

its the housing for the temp sensor and connection point for some of the coolant hoses. I dont recall on the longitudinal apps, but in the transverse world one side goes to the heater core and the other side goes to the rad.

ETKA is going to be useless for the diagram...half the time the picture doesn't even really show the engine in question. I'd shoot for someone with a Bentley.

I ordered the coolant flange from GAP, got it today w00t. The other piece im looking for is pictured below... its part of the crank case breather and is a T junction that ripped.

This shows the general route of it (in red). there is a saucer like conection right before the turbo, the line goes from that around the back of the block and down under the manifold where it T's and part of it goes the crank case breather on the block.

Pete... the T I finds is 058 103 247 called a valve housing.. connects to the long breather pipe/hose on the AEB
