company sent me an email for a shipping bill of 267pounds

remember this was listed as free shipping...so I sent ebay a message explaining the situation.


well I recieved a message from ebay today that the company I purchased my wheels from was returning my money and they did not understand the selling rules of ebay. I looked in my paypal and full refund at todays interest rate...I made $$.:cool:
:frown: so I guess I am still looking for my wheels.... I just couldnt see paying another 500 bucks for shipping..and just the whole sell as advertised thing kinda gets me pissed when people pull this stuff. I am sure they know how it works they had like 48 sales.

That sucks Brent... was it an ad on UK ebay??? they probably ment free shipping within the UK. Shipping stuff like those wheels across the pond these days is exepensive, but $600 is a bit high (depends on the carrier I am sure)... if proerly individually boxed then placed in a proper outer box it should only be around $300, maybe less, with a good air freight carrier.

Got any friends on a UK located US Air Force Base???? Maybe they can "Air frieght" them to you. :wink:

I would also talk with the company to see if you can come to some terms.... do some research and find a more cost effective way to get them shipped here and split the shipping cost or something.

My friends live in england about an hour from london. I could ask them and see if it would be cheaper.

the cheapest set I found was 527lbs shipped free in england. so I could get them shipped to him and have him forward ship it to me I guess. I will give him a call today.
