got local : forge valve,

ordered my k/n filter/ $46 shipped new.... not too bad

some engine clean out stuff and oil filters, oil, cabin filter. ouch

floor mats should be here in a few days....I only got the winter ones..for now!

I should have a new set of wheels n tires here in the next week for winter and then I will sell my stockers. once that happens I will order my summer wheels.

ordered my s4 rear spoiler.... have yet to find the lower s4 door flairs...

prob take a ride to do my chip a bit later. sticking with apr or oct as its so close.
leaning towards oct tuning as they have some really great dyno results and everyone with them seems to be very happy. of course so do the apr people.. hard choice.

still hunting exhaust... I want the largest piping cat back. some day I will prob do a dump for fun.

DirectPort programming allows all of the same functionality of EMCS, but without ANY hardware. This system allows programs to be uploaded to the engine ECU via the factory OBDII port.

The APR 1.8T chip is available in a 1.0 Bar configuration. The chip is designed to operate within the turbochargers' efficiency range. Some APR chips are available in an octane specific version for the octane of gasoline that you typically run in your car. The power that the chip makes also depends on which ECU is in your vehicle. Please see below for more information.

I am thinking apr stage 1+ with 2 modes stock and chipped

235 hp and 275 tq

anybody know what size the injector upgrade they use is so I do not have to buy them from apr for 500 bucks.

USOPHUNKE
10-14-2007, 10:44 PM
so is it true that apr got these results with a full downpie back exhaust on? was reading some apr bashing. I did see on there page it said recommend apr exhaust for optimal chip performance.

the oct stage 3 is chip/inj/catback ..........210hp 240tq
apr 1plus is chip/injectors/(?exhaust)..... 235hp 275 tq

I plan on getting the bb exhaust so I guess it doesnt matter alot.. just curious....

I dont know the exact flow rate off the top of my head, but I believe right around 360, however you dont need to base it off that. The ONLY injector that will work is the one from the earlier model TT225.

I guess they quit using their proprietary injectors.

Brent: Don't bother with OCT. Every car of theirs I've ridden in has been weaksauce. APR is already on the safe-side of the industry.

Also, if you haven't purchased the forge already, I'd look into a used hyperboost. They just seem to work better due to seal design, spring rate calcs & piston sizing.

Yeah Dave I already got the forge local for 50 bucks... I have been waiting for you to chime in.

it really is looking like apr is going to be the choice. I also think I got the injectors already as I found a set local for cheap if it works out the right p/n

what do you think of exhaust brands. I heard the b&b and it sounded sick so I am kinda leaning towards that. alot of companies dont post ther specs on piping to well?dunno why?

Hmmm there was a good post awhile ago on audiworld regarding exhaust sizing. Apparently quite a few companies will neck down to 2.25 where it splits into two pipes. I'll have to look it up but I think Ecodetuning's thermal & APR's B&B were the best spec'd ones.

What else do you have planned for the car? HFC or testpipe seems like a good addition, as well as an IC upgrade & suspension.

I am going to stick with the stock sport suspension and i.c., my only real plans are
chip/inj/diverter/exhaust/kn/s4 lower door things and rear lip and of course some nice summer wheels. I dont wanna have codes too often so anything cat and before is out at least for awhile. maybe down the road I will consider that stuff but prob not.

I purchased my new 225 injectors today. they have 22k on them. all four for 150..not too bad imop

I also picked up some winter wheels . 16 inch at italia with dunlop m3 or some thin 400 miles on them maybe he said and 400 bucks. they are mint in the pics on my way to roch this am to grab them.

my stock 17'' sport wheels all 5 will be forsale with tires.... I am thinking 400 for them if anyone may be interested.

found my thule rack.. local pick it up on monday then I just have to decide if I want a box carrier on top or just normal snowboard attachments...

USOPHUNKE
11-14-2007, 12:56 PM
well as everything with me nothing ever goes as planned. I still have not met up with the dude to get the rack... he is busy. it does however come with two bike attachments which I could def. use too.

I have my thule fit kit so all I need is the rack now... and then my snowboard attchments... which one of the dubr guys has not gotten back to me about... pita to save 300bucks... but thats car parts.

car_whore
11-14-2007, 01:38 PM
I use to sell these when we had the Snowboard/Bike shop and I think you would be much happier with a box than the snowboard atachment, but that's my opinion. The snowboard atachment destroys your snowboard and bag and the box has a million uses and isn't too bad to take on and off if you want to.
