tried running a 15psi spring in my VR6 today with the diverter valve opening at 10psi, I got an open wastegate dump and it ran quiet and held at 10psi until redline. It defiantly boosts quicker than when it had a lower setting spring in the wastegate, but is this a safe method of boost control? I am concerned about over working the turbo since the compressor keeps pushing more and more air thats being bled out the diverter valve.

I dont think that is a very ideal way to do it...you are making your turbo spin super fast and get super hot for no reason. I also dont see the diverter lasting too long at an always open state. seems to be a waste of good air.
