smells like.....

Something is burning. On Friday my GTI decided it was going to go nuts. I was driving home from labrador MTN, and noticed a burning plastic smell in the car. My buddy who was riding in the passenger seat then began telling me his ass was on fire!

The funny part was that he didn't have his heated seat on. The seat stayed blazing hot until the battery was totally dead (I let the car sit for a liitle while). Lucky the car has leather, because I seem to recall some of the cloth seats actually melting. VW's are silly.

Same thing happened to me in my Passat. VWOA sucks and didnt do anything for me :mad: , just told me to take it to a dealer, pay for them to look at it, with the possibility of reimbursement for the necessary repairs

The car is still under warranty....so who knows. I took it to Romano because it's right down the street from my house and they "havn't had a chance to look at it" in two days. B.S if you ask me! Won't go back there for any repairs.

Called VW of America, and two hours later the car was finished. Funny how that works. It was all covered under warranty.

ive had that same problem with the dealer on more than one occasion, they say no or give you the run-around, then once you get VWoA involved, BAM **** happens. Its lame but at least you are all set.
