yeah, my B4 wagon has nearly bald back snow tires, and decent all season front tires, so its a handful driving it when its like this out...

let off the gas, go left to right a few times W/the wheel in a parking lot, and the a$$ end goes out like a rear wheel drive

and off coarse the E/brake is ALWAYS an option... its like driving around doing trays slides everwhere you go:rofl:

luckily for me its been a decent winter

hows everyone elses car been doing in this snow..??

I got a brand new set of snow tires in my garage that were going to be put on my B5 but I decided not to because of the unseasonably warm winter we have been having. On stock all seasons the car handles great. ASR is also pretty nice to have and as far as I am concerned VW's ABS is so far the best ABS I have driven with. Its not as violent as other cars I have driven and I feel I have more control. All seasons are just fine in the snow, I may wait until next year to have the snows put on although I'd like to find a good set of rims for them

On the Passat I have been running the stock all seasons for the past few winters.... this year I put on a set of Michilin Artic Alipines I have had in storage for a few years.... they don't make the Artic Alipines any more, but they are a very good all round snow tire.
