I just found my next car, the new BMW 135i which is supposed to be out late this year, early next year. Two door RWD hatch back with a 3.0L inline 6, twin turbo just sounds nasty for a lower end car. They are saying pricing will be between the 3 series and the mini so that means some where in the 20k range. The turbo version will most likely be around R32 pricing hopefully not more. This thing will destroy the sport hatch category. When can I put a deposit on one:wink:

if you search around the car lounge or bimmerforums you'll see some really, really sick numbers being put down by that motor. that will be the hot hatch to have pretty soon.

Yeah if they do put that motor in the 1 series un-altered I will deffinately buy one somehow. With just a chip and exhaust those motors put down around 350whp or 400 crank, that is awesome for no real major changes.

if that motor makes into the 1 series platform, it will most likely be a M car wont it?

An article said something about selling the 130i and 135i so I am thinking the 130 will be the regular six and the other will be the turbo six which is how it sounded. The 3 series has that motor and isn't an M car as far as I know. It is supposed to be official that BMW is bringing the car with both motors and no plans for a 4cyl at this time. They said expect a 5k price difference between the two models which would indicate the possibility of the turbo six being used and that would cost around $30k most likely. Who knows for sure really but we should know more soon as this is going to be a 2008 model. I am just affraid that if they put the turbo motor in it will be less power which is hopefully only a remap away from equal power to the 3 series.

Here are a couple more pics, I guess even if they don't bring it with the turbo motor, I could settle for a RWD hatch with around 250hp. I heard this thing weighs around the same as a MKV so thats not too bad with more power than the 2.0T.

I agree, I wish it was a little better looking. But I really like it otherwise. Everything I've read says it IS coming with twin turbo engine too, optional ofcourse.

I like it! It reminds me of the new A3. The body line at the bottom of the door is almost identical to the Z4.

Yeah I think it looks a little odd but not that bad compared to other cars. If it does come with the turbo motor, I could careless what it looks like as long as it goes like hell:laugh:
