Well i was driving around today and noticed that whenever i would go full throttle my boost would hit 10psi (normal) then quickly feather to around 5psi.... uh not good/normal, i've heard this is the classic sign that the diverter valve is going out... so i jumped on the highway so i could see if it was just a joke, like the car was trying it's luck as a comedian. but when i was getting on the highway 2nd gear feathered to 5 psi and 3rd gear started strong and quickly feathered down 5 psi and then slipped down to 3 then 2and 1psi, i dont know if i take it to burdick what they are going to say, probably try to blame it on the the d.v. spacer, but this seems to be a common problem on the mkv's, anyone else have this happen?
Since the dv is electronic on the mkvs i'm wonder if it will show a code with vag-com?
Anyones suggestions on what actions to take would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot
Eli

that sucks man. i know they had replacement stock DV valves cause a lot of them failed. i'd try to scan it, and then pull the DV to see if its bad and then check out your options on replacing it. good luck mang

If you are going to the dealer I would definantly pull the diverter spacer, they wil blame problems on anything they car.

Personally, the DV replacement is easy and cheap enough that I'd rather do it myself than involve the dealer (esp if you have any sort of engine mods).
The one thought I always have regarding the 2.0t dv is that perhaps the inners of the DV mating surface are sharp and the high rate of failure may be caused by owners who are installing the upgraded DV or the forge spacer. Not saying that it is what happened in your case, but a friend of mine is on his 6th dv and I think it may have to do with how he installed it.
