changing up the winter mode alittle...

I have some winter wheels on the MKIII Jetta that I have been useing for the past few years... and I need a change...

the rims I am useing are a cheap primax rim that I had laying around... and decided they were good enough for the snow and whatnot...

so they are coming off, and my castalatas(sp) are coming back on for a few days...

I am gonna paint the primax rims black, and leave the lip machined..., because right now they are silver.... ( and I think black would be a cool look for them)

I post up pics of before and after...:wink:

hopefully will be painting them today... (they are already off the car, just need to paint em' now)

and I have pics of the before set-up, and as soon as I paint them, I'll take after shots as well..

and I have to re-apply my door molding HOPEFULLY today:wink: , todays seems to be the day, since it will be @ 60' today:eek:

Yeah they do look cool, I was gonna do the same for the rims on the GTI but black trim/lip with Chrome paint...... but the Chrome paint doesnt really settle and dry even and looks a bit rough on the tests I have done... any suggestions?

chrome paint sucks IMO.... what kind of rims... alum.?? if so, just polish them

well, all the other cars at my house will be getting worked on, so why not...

maybe I will attempt to install my new back deck that I made for the Jetta

it was made out a stock rear deck, just made the speaker hole bigger to fit my 8" mid-bass speakers, and the tweeter opening bigger to fit the HUGE tweeters I got for it.... should be sweet, and sound should be good too.... you want pics..??


then alittle cleaning to it, change the oil.... ya know..
