Why is it Euro 25th AE stuff seems so much cheaper in Europe for mkIV golf/gti?

Did they produce more over there, or for more years?

To the best of my knowledge, the 25th annivery GTI in Eupoe was only offered for one year. I'm guessing the Eruo stuff is cheap there becuase the stuff that is brought here has to be imported from Europe.... Shipping large items like bumpers, valances, and side skirts (though not heavy) is not cheap these days plus the dollar is not in great shape these days when compared to the Euro. I'm pretty sure all my US 20AE peices I have on my GTI have were made in Germany.

NB: The Euro bumpers are smaller than the US spec bumpers and use a different rebar and as a result the valances also have a different shape to mate up with the smaller Euro bumpers, so to do a Euro 25th AE GTI you need the euro bumpers as well as the matching Euro body kit.

i dont think it is really possible to tell what the kit is without seeing a front and back view...with only a side view it could be alot of kits

You could well be right .... hard for me to tell from looking at the pic what it is. The front valances do look like they extend lower than the 25th AE set-up.

the rear and the skirts give it away. its def not OEM. i'm with ed on this one, at least the rear and skirts are some kinda of rieger (or rieger look) :wink:
