I was wondering if the General lee drift audi is a inline 5 cylinder that someone built a turbo for; or do they come stock W/turbos...?? or is it a totally different set-up all together..??
just curious... and thanks for looking..

I've only seen the video (and can not seem to find it again).
My guess is it is a Audi 5cyl motor. They were available in 10v, 20v and turbo 20v configurations depending on engine code. The Euro RS2 had a high powered version, the US early 90s S4 had a detuned version.

i've seen it and i don't remember what model it is. there was a turbo charged 5 cylinder that was incredably tuneable. it made it into the early 90s S-model Audis. look for UrS4s and S6s if you're looking the motor.
Also, it's the motor, in turbo'd form, that Dalbach used in the Golf from hell. but that got the IMSA spec turbo used in the super dominate IMSA GTO Audi from back in the day.

That car is in this months Hot Rod, just a little blurb but cool. Its gotta be a turbo 20V.
The only place to find that engine is in a 1991 Audi 200 (only the 20V model) or an old S4/S6. Jim K's black 200 is a 20V. They are basically a 16V with an extra cylinder and built pretty stout from the factory.

I also was going to say 5 cyl. 20v turbo. I'm pretty sure that's the motor that was used to make ~ 500hp ralley cars

Obviously I'm a little slow on the up-take. McShane put this to bed a week ago.
