I've regretted the sale of the 1979 Ford F150 that I grew up with since I did it (to please my ex with a new bed since she hated my water bed... Ill never make that mistake again). So the Caddy is pretty much sold and I came across this on ebay. Its much much bigger than my old one, and in a little better shape.

this truck appears to be quite the mixture of parts.. so heres what I know

1979 F150 Ranger XLT 4x4
6" suspension, 2" body lift
37" tires
mild 351 Windsor that was in a Mustang hooked up to a four speed
dual exhaust etc I havent looked to see if its a 4 bbl or anything else

I do know for a fact that it will spin the 37s in first gear... this thing is nuts....

That being said. I can now run over cars

Big thanks to Stu for riding out and driving the TDI back. And yes I drove this 200 miles home lol Gets an amazing 11mpg

quite the trip. Congrats, looks like you got yersef a car ahauler!

11 mpg! I filled my brother's truck up yesterday, 26 Gallons @ 2.55 p/gal = 63.somethin (this was me... :icon_stunned:) he gets 300 miles to a tank and had 199 on it when I filled it...

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he had the truck and let me borrow it but damn, it's something I'd have to budget in to run for sure.

Awesome! It doesn't look bad at all from the pics. The 351W is a pretty decent engine also.
