I need some rears rebuilt, any one know a local place that doesnt cost too much?

I might just buy brand new ones, GAP has an upgrade kit for $210 including MK4 calipers (both sides) and new lines. But if I can get them rebuilt for $100 or so, I would rather go that route and save some moolah

IMHO go with the Mk4s....Mk3 and earlier will just need rebuilding/replacement again

Rebuilt MkIV calipers (http://www.stopshopanddrive.com/epcvsoapimc.epc?cookieID=1XF0QYGLX1XF0QYPEQ&drillid=8&subcatid=801049@@Rear+Wheel+Hydraulics&clientid=stopshopanddrive.com) @ ~$83 ea. w/ $0 shipping.

MkIII rear caliper seal kit (http://www.stopshopanddrive.com/epcvsoapimc.epc?cookieID=1XF0QYGLX1XF0R62XB&drillid=8&subcatid=801049@@Rear+Wheel+Hydraulics&clientid=stopshopanddrive.com) = $5.28

If you 'rebuild' them yourself, also do the guide boots and bleeder screws. Also, the rebuilt MkIII calipers are the same price as the MkIV's!

not bad, but requires a core on the MK4 calipers, I wonder if they would take the MK3's in exchange...

still hoping to get a quote on rebuild before i buy replacements.

Pete, check out www.rockauto.com

They have several options for MK4 calipers that require no core or a very small core charge.

I ended up going with GAP's upgrade kit. I didnt want to deal with cores and the GAP kit comes with the correct breakline so I dont have to deal with sourcing that some where.

FYI - GAP's kit is $219
